When it comes to aviation safety, precision counts – in the air and on the ground.

“The more precise of a pilot you are, the better pilot you can be,” said Dagmar Kress, affiliate faculty coach of Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Precision Flight Team.

Aviation and Aerospace Science students on the Precision Flight Team will put their skills to the test when they host the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s Region 1 SAFECON competition Oct. 21 through 25 at Broomfield’s Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport.

Here’s how the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals are preparing for the competition.
