About Us

Welcome to RED.

Here, you will find news that is Relevant and Essential to Denver and its surrounding communities.

We know you have no shortage of news sources, but RED strives to fill a special niche:

  • A niche where Denver’s economic, scientific and cultural interests are the focus.
  • A niche where stories entertain as well as inform.
  • A niche that taps into the expertise of a University that counts community wellbeing among its strategic objectives.

In this issue, you’ll learn about a student whose interest in semantics and linguistics landed him at Oxford University; downtown Denver alleys filled with art; and how to feed four people on $10 without sacrificing flavor or nutrition.

RED is the successor to the MSU Denver Insider newsroom. We have listened to feedback from our readers and built on our experience to make this news source one you will look forward to. You may visit RED.msudenver.edu for the latest. Or wait for the bi-weekly news feed every other Tuesday.

Lastly, we want to hear from you.  Your feedback will allow us to refine and improve RED. It’s easy to comment on the stories or to share them with your social media network. Help us zero in on the news and information you and your networks need.

We think RED will look good on you.
