Metropolitan State University of Denver Volleyball soared to the top of the Division II ranks on Dec. 13, capturing the 2025 NCAA national championship with a 3–1 victory over Concordia University, St. Paul. As the Roadrunners hoisted the program’s first-ever national title trophy on the court at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the celebration echoed in Colorado, where fans erupted at a raucous watch party at Prost Brewing in Denver.
The title capped a record-setting 32–3 season and extended MSU Denver’s winning streak to 23 consecutive matches.
The team’s triumph marks just the fifth national athletic championship in University history and the first since the women’s soccer team won its second national title in 2006. The men’s basketball team won Division II national championships in 2000 and 2002.
