Aerobatic Team captures fourth national title in six years; members also place first and third in individual competition.
The Aerobatic Team at Metropolitan State University of Denver took home three awards during the 2022 Collegiate Championships, at both team and individual levels. It’s the fourth time MSU Denver Aviation and Aerospace students have placed in the competition.

Held by the International Aerobatics Club, the championship program helps to increase flight safety while providing an outlet for students to explore their interest in aerobatics. And all student pilots are welcome.
“If this is your first experience in aviation, that’s totally fine,” said Aerobatic Team captain Andrew Fisher. “It builds safe pilots and makes good habits. And it’s just a lot of fun, makes a community. Anybody interested in doing aerobatics can do it no matter how much training you have.”
Awards for the 2022 championship will be presented in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, at AirVenture on Friday, July 28.
