PHOTOS: The fall semester kicks off with a Rowdy welcome
MSU Denver students marked their return to campus with a day of fun and games before classes began.
If any place can make going back to school something to look forward to, it’s Metropolitan State University of Denver.
The University did it by throwing a party, complete with cheerleaders, games, contests, food and even a zip line. And Rowdy, of course. The Rowdy Rally and convocation drew hundreds of students for a Saturday afternoon of fun and a chance to learn about the campus community.
Two days later, on Aug. 17, MSU Denver welcomed students to the first day of classes for the fall 2026 semester. Those students represent a variety of backgrounds, ages and even hometowns. Some 33% transferred from another college; 4.5% came from another state and 21 came from 15 other countries, including, Nepal, Brazil, Canada, Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Mongolia, United Kingdom and Australia.
