PHOTOS: Roadrunners After Dark debuts with headliner Paul Russell
A new late-night event transformed the Tivoli Quad into a rain-soaked celebration with music, fun and food.
A spring downpour didn’t dampen the vibe at Roadrunners After Dark, Metropolitan State University of Denver’s new late-night student event. Hosted April 30 by the Center for Multicultural Engagement and Inclusion, the indoor-outdoor bash brought students together for a music-filled evening of fun, food and cultural celebration.
Headliner Paul Russell lit up the Tivoli Quad with his energetic pop-rap style, while student-favorite DJs Jasmine Dragon and Dylan Slique kicked things off with dynamic sets that kept the crowd dancing — even as umbrellas came out. Indoors, students enjoyed classic carnival games, airbrush tattoos and a free photo booth, while food trucks served up everything from tacos to mochi donuts.
The event is part of a broader campus effort to foster inclusion and community, offering students a chance to relax, connect and express themselves.
