PHOTOS: Nuggets fans celebrate opening game on the Tivoli Quad
Crowds came to the Auraria Campus for a free, daylong fan experience and watch party put on by the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show.
As the defending world champion Denver Nuggets tipped off a new season, The NBA on TNT American Express Road Show celebrated its 40th consecutive year of NBA coverage on Oct. 24 with a free, daylong fan experience on the Auraria Campus, home of Metropolitan State University of Denver. The University is located across the street from the Nuggets home court, Ball Arena.
TNT’s “Inside the NBA” crew – Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal – broadcast from the Tivoli Quad, while fans enjoyed the game on the big screen, along with post-game musical performances by The Chainsmokers and Dermot Kennedy.
The Nuggets won their opener against the Los Angeles Lakers 119-107.
