About
Paul Murphy, M.A. EMT-P, is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Health Professions at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His expertise includes healthcare leadership, clinical support, mobile health and virtual care/telehealth. He currently teaches Health Information Systems.
In addition to teaching, Murphy is the creator of Divorce Detox, an online digital program designed to assist men to be successful with divorce. With extensive experience in healthcare, he worked early in his career as a paramedic for the Denver Paramedics (DG/DHMC). Murphy has co-authored 50+ articles in several journals including “Effective Leadership Still Matters” and “EMS TeleMedicine: Watch The Details” in Healthcare Business Today.
Before joining MSU Denver, Murphy served as the HCA Continental Division Telemedicine Principal at HealthONE Colorado.
Murphy earned his Master of Arts in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University, a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration and Management from Kennedy Western University, and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
