Ilana Oliff

Illana Oliff, M.A., serves as the director of clinical education at the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her areas of expertise include gender-affirming voice care, aphasia, cognitive-communication changes resulting from injury or aging, late language emergence (late talkers), speech– and– language therapy , spanning age groups, from pediatric to geriatric. Oliff holds a license in Speech Language Pathology, in addition to certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, CPR, and AED. She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association., 

In addition to her teaching, Oliff contributes to the American Speech Language Hearing Association as a continuing– education materials developer. She developed the Augmentative and Alternative Communication Practice Portal on the ASLHA’s webpage. She also submitted a publication titled, “Using Principles of Motor Learning to Treat Apraxia of Speech after Traumatic Brain Injury” in the Journal of Medical Speech-Language Pathology.

Before joining MSU Denver, Oliff served as a bilingual speech-language pathologist at Speech and Health LLC.

Oliff earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from the American University.
