The state-of-the-art facilities at MSU Denver include a nurses station, an ambulance bay, a home health lab and other simulated environments.
Metropolitan State University of Denver’s cutting-edge Interprofessional Simulation and Skills Laboratory, or Sim Labs, officially opened Sept. 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. These state-of-the-art facilities include a nurses station, ambulance bay, home health lab and other realistic care environments, offering students hands-on experience in patient care.
Nursing students, especially those in Nursing Skills Lab and Nursing Foundations courses, immediately began applying their skills in these simulated settings. Funded through a combination of state and philanthropic support, the Sim Labs are a key feature of the Gina and Frank Day Health Institute and part of an ambitious plan to boost student capacity by 25%.
