About
Sarah Bailey, M.S., serves as an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her areas of expertise include Crime Scene Investigation, Forensic Science, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, and Crime Scene Reconstruction. Her research focus is centered around crime scene documentation and analysis.
With over a decade of professional crime scene analysis experience, Bailey has testified in more than 45 criminal trials to date, in the 17th and 18th Judicial Districts. She is a member of several professional associations, including the International Association for Identification, the International Crime Scene Investigators Association, and the Colorado Homicide Investigators Association. Additionally, she holds a Crime Scene Analyst certification from the International Association for Identification. Bailey has received several awards for her excellence in crime scene investigation and law enforcement service, including the Meritorious Service Ribbon. Alongside her teaching role at MSU Denver, Bailey is a Crime Scene Investigator and Field Trainer for the Crime Scene Unit at the Aurora Police Department.
Bailey earned her Master of Science in Forensic Science from Oklahoma State University and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Concentration in Criminalistics from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
