Godwin-Charles Ogbeide, Ph. D., is a professor in the School of Hospitality and Director of the Day Leadership Academy at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His areas of expertise include leadership, hospitality and tourism development with specialty areas in destination marketing and stakeholders’ delight/satisfaction.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ogbedie is an active leader and board member of many professional organizations and non-profits in the hospitality industry, serving as past Vice President and President of the Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE). A few of his published works include Generation y and z destination attractiveness attributes (2020) and Hospitality Intelligence: Evolution, Definition and Dimensions (2020).

Prior to joining MSU Denver, Ogbedie was the Director of the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University Northwest.

Obgeide earned his doctorate, master’s and bachelor’s degrees from University of Missouri Columbia and his master’s in Business Administration from Columbia College.
