About

Godwin-Charles Ogbeide, Ph.D., is a professor in the School of Hospitality and Director of the Day Leadership Academy at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. His expertise includes leadership, hospitality, and tourism development with specialty areas in destination marketing and stakeholders’ delight/satisfaction.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ogbeide is an active leader and board member of many professional organizations and non-profits in the hospitality industry. He served as past President of the Central Federation Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE). A few of his published works include “Leadership Styles for Foodservice”, “Generation Y and Z Destination Attractiveness Attributes”, “Perceptions of Hospitality Self-Service Technology”, “Complaint Management and Service Recovery” and “Hospitality Intelligence.”

Before joining MSU Denver, Ogbeide was the Director of the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Purdue University Northwest.

Ogbeide earned his doctorate, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees in Hospitality fields from the University of Missouri Columbia and his master’s in Business Administration from Columbia College.
