About
Eric Goldenstern, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His expertise includes general and physics-based meteorology, weather radars, satellite remote sensing and the water cycle.
Before joining MSU Denver, he served as a graduate research assistant at Colorado State University, where he worked on quantifying satellite precipitation retrieval biases using meteorological data for prediction. His published works include “Identify and Constraining Ice Effects on Satellite Precipitation Biases Using Reanalysis Data, Journal of Hydrometeorology” and “Quantifying the Effects of a Parallax-Correcting Algorithm for Passive Microwave Satellite Precipitation Retrievals across the Conterminus United States, Journal of Hydrometeorology.”
Goldenstern earned his doctorate and master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Colorado State University and his bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from Valparaiso University
