About
David McNabb, JD., is the Executive Director of Housing & Residential Life at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He leads the expansion of the University’s first residence hall, Summit House. His area of expertise includes housing operations, residential education, crisis response and student-centered leadership.
McNabb brings over 12 years of experience in housing and residential life, including roles directing student housing operations and campus engagement initiatives. Prior to his role at MSU Denver, he served as Director of Housing and Residential Life at New Mexico State University. McNabb led key initiatives focused on improving student and staff retention, advanced campus partnerships and enhanced overall occupancy growth. He also previously served as Director of Residence Life & Student Activities at Northeastern Junior College in Colorado.
McNabb oversees the development of MSU Denver’s first housing and resident structure on campus as well as additional community housing options and resources. In this role, he collaborates with Student Engagement and Well-being and partners across the University to create a residential experience that reflects MSU Denver’s values and commitment to student belonging.
He holds a Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a master’s of science in higher education leadership from Walden University. He received his bachelor’s in science in education from Southern Nazarene University.
