About
David J. Rougely, M.E.M., is an affiliate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology, at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His expertise includes cybersecurity, AI security and application development, penetration testing, cybersecurity assessments and training, as well as technology entrepreneurship.
With over 25 years of experience in IT, engineering, cybersecurity consulting, and offensive security, Rougely brings a deep understanding of both technical and strategic aspects of the cybersecurity field. He is the founder and CEO of Pantera Security, Inc., where he leads the development of TraceClaw, an AI-powered API security application, alongside providing specialized cybersecurity assessments and technology product solutions.
In addition to his work in private security, Rougely is the founder of Cyber Cat Labs, a nonprofit focused on cybersecurity education and awareness for underserved communities.
Rougely holds a Master of Engineering Management from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University. He is also a member of the Microsoft for Startups program.
