About

Bill Canterbury is an affiliate professor in the Department of Engineering and Engineering Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His areas of expertise include construction project management, cost estimating, construction scheduling, and risk assessment. 

In addition to teaching, he serves as president of Canterbury Construction Management Services, where he provides Opinions of Probable Cost (OPC), planning, scheduling, risk analysis, constructability reviews and value engineering recommendations. He works closely with owners and engineering teams to support effective decision-making during the preconstruction stage and project development. 

Canterbury has twenty-eight years of experience in heavy civil construction, including water resources and wastewater systems. His professional background spans field operations, project management, and preconstruction services.  

He is an active member of the Construction Management Association of America, the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, the International Code Council, the American Concrete Institute, the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association, and the American Public Works Association.  

Canterbury earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Colorado State University in 1994.
