PHOTOS: The Auraria Campus celebrates Veterans Day

Institutions joined forces to host a Veterans Day celebration in the Tivoli Turnhalle.

Metropolitan State University of Denver, Community College of Denver and University of Colorado Denver celebrated Veterans Day with a ceremony honoring men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Michael Dumont provided the keynote address, and the U.S. Air Force Academy band Stellar Brass performed. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1 showcased art from the Veterans Arts Council, and lunch was served to the community.
